What I read this month

Short and sweet this month: Nothing finished and nothing started and stopped. What I’m reading… well…

I continue to peck away at the Firewalls Don’t Stop Dragons 5th edition (Carey Parker). It’s taking time largely because it’s not just informative but also instructional, and I’m trying to do what I can as I read to take Carey’s advice and apply his suggested tweaks and changes to my phone and computer. Not a quick read.

As a palate cleanser, I also started to read the first volume of the Savage Sword of Conan compendium (written by Roy Thomas, art by many and various people), because I’m a longtime fan and wanted to have this collection and the time was good to finally start it.

And because why stop at just two things I haven’t finished when I could be juggling three at a time, also starting Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King.

I’m not a Stephen King fan, per se (though his semi-autobiographical book On Writing is among my all-time favourite collections of advice on how to write well). But I heard that Eyes of the Dragon wasn’t in his usual style, so I figured I’d give it a shot. So far, so good. Fingers crossed that it continues.
