Writer, Dabbler In Things
I believe since my last visit to the site, I’ve finished the first a themed short story collection. By “finish”, I mean I opted more to leave it once it got up to a certain collective length. And by “first draft” I actually mean more like the second draft (ok, maybe first and a half?)…
It’s abundantly clear that I won’t be posting here regularly, let alone daily. At least not right now…
I just finished spiral-bound notebook number 2 of my short story collection…
I was working on the “second draft” of my themed short story collection — the quotes are because it’s only technically a second draft, more accurately typing out the hand-written originals with only some editing done as I went — and was happy to see it’s up over 65,000 words now…
My father informed me that it’s National Haiku Poetry Day. I’m not sure which Nation we’re talking about here, but I’ve opted to just roll with the spirit of the thing…
I’ve got the same problem that so many creative types do: Too many ideas and not enough time to get to all of them. It happens to people with a laser-tight focus on what they do, let alone those of us who are much more scattershot with their interests…
Welcome to my new website. It’s been a long time coming, but I seem — hope — to have a better idea about what I’d like to do with it this time around, which should keep it, and me, from stagnating…
April 2 – Round 2 of the contest deadlined last night. Getting by with a little — make that a lot — of help from some of the usual cadre of beta (gamma, delta…) readers, my story was as polished as it was going to get and it was submitted with time to spare…
